Ghost Face Killa Biography and Information
Ghost Face Killa
Ghost Face did not feature too heavily on
Wu-Tangs
first album, so was perhaps not so well know as some of the members. While he did not play such a major role on the first Wu joint he did have a significant part on Raekwon's, solo debut "Only built for Cuban Links". This was critically acclaimed and gave Ghostface just the launch pad that he needed.
Having featured on the sound tracks for Sunset Park and the Wayans Brothers movie, "Don't be a Menace to South Central While You're Drinking Your Juice in the Hood"
Ghostface then launch his solo album, "Iron Man". This album was their first to be released on RZA's own label 'Razor Sharp Records" and was also produced by him. The record was quite successful on the commercial tip and was also well received by the Hip Hop community.
Ghostface, like the rest of the clan returned to base and featured on some of
Wu-Tangs work and then released another solo joint.
Early in 2000 he released his second album "Supreme Clientel".
This was definatly a success and received both commercial and underground praise, though it seemed like this may have gone to his head and Ghostface quickly rushed out another album a year later, "Bulletproof Wallets". this didn't sell and was panned by the critics, it seemed this work just did not have the rough edge that the fans expected of the clan. Now it was back to work
with the team for a while, though soon a few new tracks began to emerge in the underground, on mixtapes and such.
"Run", with Jada Kiss and Tush which featured Missy Elliot prepared the world for the next installments.....
